I had a wash, cut and blowdry with Maria. I showed her a reference photo of long, face-framing 90s-style layers and asked for that. What I left with was noticeably shorter, with layers starting much higher than the photo - closer to shoulder length rather than mid-chest. I didn't say anything at the time. I'm non-confrontational and wanted to sit with it before reacting, so I told her I liked it and left. Looking at it later at home, it wasn't what I'd asked for. When I called, Maria said this was the best she could do given my hair's thickness, and that I should have said something during the appointment if I wasn't happy. When I raised that more length had been cut than I expected, she said it was around an inch - though looking at the before and after, it felt like more to me. She offered to add more layers, but I didn't want anything further cut given how short it already felt. I'd recommend bringing very specific reference points (length markers, not just a style name and photo) if you book with her, and confirming before you leave the chair.

Went to The Look for the first time yesterday and, having been with the same stylist for many years (she went and left the country) was a little nervous to see a new stylist for highlights and a trim. I needn't have been. Dora was patient with me and talked me through every aspect of colour and cut. I was going for a slightly lighter shade and Dora really listened to what I wanted. I'm now a Scandi Blonde ready for the summer. Thank you Dora. I thoroughly recommend.

I realized I never left a review for my favourite hairdressers! Had been going for well over a decade before I moved, and now that I've had a horrendous haircut in my new locale I'm hankering after Elena's artistry, and Dora is lovely too. They are friendly, professional, and always gave me an amazing cut. Elena revolutionized my hair by doing an amazing bob with a daring undercut that my new hairdresser butchered. I'm planning on travelling 2 hours next time to have her rectify things!

Dora is truly amazing. The best hairdresser I’ve ever had. I’ve been her client for over 15 years, I absolutely won’t go anywhere else! I had colour, cut and a blow dry today and my hair is perfect, as always. Love love love her!
